Beware using coupon codes. They will accept the code, acknowledge the discount, ship the merchandise, and charge you full price. Then they'll tell you code was invalid, even after their system has accepted it.

Bedspread ensemble was true to website photo and description. The only fault I found was the plastic bag that it was enclosed in came with a broken zipper which I found to be unfortunate because I use the bags to store the ensemble when not in use because it contains the set well.

Spiegel's merchandise is well priced. They have a good assortment of merchandise like you would find at a department store. It is very convenient to shop online.
It would be good if they gave consumers a break in shipping fees like other websites do, such as SmartBargains or Overstock.

Spiegel is a reliable company with fairly high quality merchandise. It carries a nice selection of apparel and accessories, though it is usually difficult to find smaller sizes and specialty sizes such as petites. Items are usually never on backorder too long, if at all, though if you want fast shipping, add it on to your order. The site has great clearance specials but do keep in mind that quite often the same merchandise can be found on the company's other websites at a significant discount.

They have beautiful clothes, but are a bit pricey. If you are on a budget, try their sister store Newport News. I was looking for an evening dress, and I would have liked a greater selection in the above-size-14 range.

Once this catalog gets into my hands, I usually have to order a few items.
Spiegel's offers clothing not seen in the stores, which makes them appealing.
It is not the best website by far, as I have had difficulties on merchandise returns. It is a slow and tedious process.

They have a great selection of really nice clothing. I especially love the sweaters, dresses, and the best jeans I've ever tried on: IT Jeans. Spiegel *has* to keep offering those jeans and I'll be a customer for life.

My overall experience was just fine. I had no problems to speak of. I do wish that they did have a little more inventory though, but other than that everything was great!
I will definitely shop there again.
