Newport News has great prices on clothing and are always running sales or promotions. However, buyer beware. EVERYTHING I have ordered in my normal size has been way too large, so I think their sizing must run fairly big. Also, the quality isn't the greatest, so you might get what you pay for. I've returned a lot to them and never had any problems, so that helps at least.

I have bought from Newport News before and because I have always had a good experience I will continue to do so. Now that I have discovered Mr. Rebates, it allows me to buy more and more often. It has been a great shopping through their site!

I have purchased several items and not being able to try them on presented a problem. However, Newport News easily handled my returns and adjustments.

I have stopped shopping at Newport News. The reason is the quality and sizing of their product are big problems. The sizes tend to run either too small or too big for the actual size chart indicated. The quality is quite poor. The only good thing about this store is that they let you make returns at anytime, no matter how long ago you purchased.

Great selection, quality and prices. The only drawback is that the website can be difficult to navigate in some areas. Overall, I have shopped here for a long time and will continue to do so regularly.

First, I like that they have the deferred payment option when you use your Newport news card. Second, they occasionally have the extra bonus offer for members which give you an additional discount so you can really get very good deals, especially when the items are on sale. The shipping costs could be a little expensive but sometimes they offer free shipping. I've been shopping from Newport News for about 1 yr. now, and so far I've had nothing but good experiences. Thanks.

Newport News occasionally has some great merchandise but beware the quality and description is not always very accurate. Clothes are often inadequately sized, so that returns are often necessary. The best selection NN offers is of wide width boots at very nice prices.
Customer service is a nightmare. If you join the discount club, of which I was a member awhile back, discounts are not usually applied correctly, and you will spend lots of time on the phone or corresponding via email. Exchanges sometimes turn out well, but often things go awry in that merchandise is no longer available (though it is on the website) or some other odd complications arise. If they get the order right and everything fits, it is a great shopping experience.

Overall, Newport News is an absolutely great catalog for the up-to-date woman. Whether the woman be a working person or the young adult misses, she can find what she is looking for. I've been ordering from Newport News approximately 15 years, so you can see that for any reason I'm looking for clothing, I go to Newport News first. They have high quality merchandise for reasonable prices. I’ve had not problems. And they have fast service.
