This was my 3rd time purchasing phones through Wirefly.com, and as usual, it was a great experience. The phones shipped the same day, Wirefly scheduled the activation with Verizon, I saved a TON of money, and I didn't have to deal with the rebates that Verizon hits you with. My whole family is on Droid phones now and we literally saved hundreds of dollars.
Wirefly is an authorized agent for Verizon (and the other carriers as well.. I first used Wirefly to switch my number from AT&T to Verizon). Wirefly can do everything you do at the carrier store (set up an account, port your number, add a line, upgrade your phone), but they do it all online, and they discount the phones to a much greater degree than other authorized stores like Best Buy, Radio Shack or WalMart.
When I tell people about Wirefly, they always want to know what's the catch. Honestly, there is no catch unless you don't plan to honor your contract. You basically forfeit the extra discount you received if you cancel within six months. But since you're signing a 2 year contract, it's a non-issue. At least it's never been an issue for me.
