Altrec has become my new, first choice in internet "outdoor" store.
They do not have a great deal of stock, but what they do have is the good stuff. The best brands. I like this. I don't have to wade through torrents of merchandise I don't want.
Browsing is easy and can be done in many different ways. By gender, or sport, or item, etc. I like that they have a great deal of information on their products. There are "customer surveys" for products, but they don't seem to have as much prominence as, shall we say, Amazon.
Customer service at altrec is SUPERIOR. I have talked with them on three occasions and they are personable, intelligient, seemed happy to be a customer service rep for Altrec and handled everything with perfect grace and care.
If you sign up for the mailer you get discounts.
Their shipping is UNBELIEVABLE. You usually get free shipping after buying a low amount of merchandise. I have received all my free shipping orders within 3-4 days. They always shipped next business day of my order. I can't say enough good things about this store.
